Report: Russia considering future of head coach Fabio Capello

Russia considering Fabio Capello future?

Russia's football chiefs have claimed that they will consider the future of head coach Fabio Capello in the wake of their 1-0 home defeat to Austria in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, according to reports.

The former England boss has coached the Sbornaya since 2012 and was awarded a four-year contract extension last year to lead them through to their home World Cup in 2018.

According to Sky Sports News, acting Russian Football Union president Nikita Simonyan has said that they "will discuss" whether to remove Capello from the post.

Russia, third in Group G, have won just two of their last 10 competitive games, against Liechtenstein and a default win when a match against Montenegro was abandoned due to crowd trouble.
