Jose Mourinho's Roma position 'not under threat'

Jose Mourinho is reportedly expected to remain as Roma manager for the foreseeable future.

The 58-year-old is less than halfway through his first season at Stadio Olimpico, recording 13 wins and eight defeats from his 23 matches in charge.

However, on the back of the club's 3-0 defeat at home to Inter Milan at the weekend, it has been suggested that club officials are contemplating a change in the dugout.

However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano says that is not the case, claiming that the Portuguese has the full support of the owners and board.

Romano adds that Mourinho, who has been critical of his squad at various times this season, will be given the freedom to make signings during the January window.

Roma have lost four of their last six Serie A fixtures, leaving the club down in seventh position in the table.
