Preview: Roma vs. Torino

Sports Mole looks ahead to Sunday's Serie A encounter between second-placed Roma and mid-table Torino.

Roma can remain hot on the heels of Serie A leaders Juventus if they snatch all three points from their clash against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

Rudi Garcia's side currently sit three points behind Juve in the standings following last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Napoli, and they're feeling pressure from Lazio, who are just three points below.

Roma need a lift following two defeats in a week, the latest coming against German champions Bayern Munich, who sealed a 2-0 triumph over their Italian opponents in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Roma have not lost to Torino in their last four meetings, but Giampiero Ventura's side could be turning things around in terms of form following two unbeaten games in Serie A.

They reside 12th in the standings, seven points adrift of the top three, but Fabio Quagliarella is in impressive form having netted four Serie A goals so far this season.

As well as Roma, Torino head into this weekend's clash on the back of a European defeat following Thursday night's 2-1 loss to HJK Helsinki in Finland.

In terms of team news, Roma will be without injured trio Davide Astori, Marco Borriello and Leandro Casta, while the visitors have Cesare Bovo and Migien Basha on the treatment table.
