Roma are being held to a 0-0 draw by Cagliari at half time in Serie A.

The Rome outfit started well as Gervinho nearly gave Rudi Garcia's side the lead after seven minutes when his low shot was saved.

Maicon had a chance seconds later, but his effort was fired wide with the Brazilian defender at a tight angle.

Gervinho came even closer towards the end of the half, but his header could only find the post.
