A statement on Rochdale's official website has confirmed that the club have accepted a written transfer request from striker Bobby Grant.
The 22-year-old, who signed a new two-year deal with the club last summer, is reported to be of interest to a number of Football League outfits.
"Rochdale Football Club can confirm that we have received a transfer request from striker Bobby Grant," read the statement.
"The club have reluctantly accepted his request and his details will be circulated."
Grant scored 16 goals in 38 games for Rochdale last season.
