Team News: Three changes for Republic of Ireland against Germany

Three changes for Ireland

Republic of Ireland have made three changes to their starting lineup for this evening's Euro 2016 qualifier against world champions Germany in Gelsenkirchen.

Martin O'Neill has opted to bring in Stoke City duo Glenn Whelan and Jonathan Walters, while Stephen Quinn of Hull City is also included.

Wes Hoolahan, Darron Gibson and Jeff Hendrick are the men to make way, but veteran striker Robbie Keane once again leads the line following his hat-trick in the 7-0 rout of Gibraltar on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Germany have made two changes of their own to the side that fell to a shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Poland at the weekend.

Christoph Kramer and Andre Schurrle both make way for Joachim Low's side, with Matthias Ginter and Julian Draxler replacing them in the starting XI.

Germany: Neuer; Rüdiger, Hummels, Boateng, Durm; Ginter, Kroos; Bellarabi, Götze, Draxler; Müller

Republic of Ireland: Forde; Meyler, O'Shea, Wilson, Ward; McGeady, Quinn, Whelan, McClean; Keane, Walters
