New York Red Bulls unsure over Thierry Henry future

Coach Mike Petke does not know if Thierry Henry will depart the New York Red Bulls in December.

New York Red Bulls coach Mike Petke has conceded that he does not know if Thierry Henry has decided to leave the club.

Recent speculation has suggested that the former Arsenal and France striker would depart the MLS outfit once his contract expires in December.

However, when asked about the rumours, Petke insisted that the 37-year-old will announce his judgment when the time is right.

"Thierry's going to make that decision and announce that or don't announce that whenever he feels comfortable with that. I have not got that indication one way or another," the Daily Mail quoted Petke as saying.

"Theirry's focusing on every game and he's being a professional about it, he doesn't get wrapped up in that stuff. Like I said, he will let the world know if he chooses to when he wants to."

Henry joined the Red Bulls from Barcelona in 2010.
