Manolo Jimenez says that he is not scared that he will be sacked as the Real Zaragoza coach following their defeat to Celta Vigo on Monday.

Manolo Jimenez has insisted that he is not worried about losing his job as the Real Zaragoza coach.

The Blanquillos slipped to the foot of La Liga with 27 points from 32 matches with a 2-1 away defeat to Celta Vigo on Monday.

"That we leave from a game like this one with nothing, after a 92nd-minute goal from half a shot, is very cruel and unfair," he told reporters. "Football has been extremely cruel to my team, but it is clear that we are also to blame for the situation that we are in.

"I want to encourage the fans because they have seen that we have competed in the game and that the players gave everything. In the second half we were practically under no danger but in going for the win we have paid. The point could have been good for both halves that we played, it is unfair to lose like that.

"Personally I am suffering as much as the players and the fans, who do not deserve a situation like this. I do not fear for my job, that does not matter to me. I'm working with all my strength but I also know that football is based on results."

There are six rounds of matches left in the league campaign this season.
