Real Murcia readmitted to Segunda Division

A court in Spain readmits Real Murcia to the Segunda Division following their relegation.

Real Murcia have been readmitted to the Segunda Division, meaning that Spain's second tier will have 23 teams next season.

The LFP relegated Murcia to the Segunda B for financial irregularities, but according to AS, a court has overturned the decision.

It is understood that the LFP can and are expected launch an appeal, but as it stands, a new fixture list is being drawn up due to the presence of another team in the Segunda Division.

Murcia finished fourth in the Segunda last season, but missed out in the playoffs before their relegation for financial reasons was announced.
