Real Madrid will reportedly not attempt to sign on-loan Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on a permanent deal during this summer's transfer window.
The 27-year-old joined Madrid as back-up to Thibaut Courtois last summer and has made eight appearances for the Spanish giants during the 2019-20 campaign.
The France international has only featured on three occasions in Ligue 1, though, and according to AS, Zinedine Zidane's side have made a decision on the stopper's future.
The report claims that Los Blancos have decided against pursuing a permanent move for Areola, meaning that the Frenchman will return to PSG at the end of the season.
Areola's long-term future in Paris is also in doubt, though, as Keylor Navas left Madrid last summer to become the French club's new number one goalkeeper.
Zidane's team, meanwhile, have allegedly also decided to keep hold of Luka Jovic this summer despite the Serbian's struggles since arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt.
