Girona have moved four points clear of the La Liga relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in Sunday's La Liga fixture.

Casemiro had given Real a half-time lead, but goals from Cristhian Stuani and Portu condemned the home side to a surprise defeat in front of their own supporters.

Real remain in third position in the standings, while the win for Girona has ended their 10-game winless streak in Spain's top flight.

Kroos retrieved the ball on the right flank before delivering the perfect cross for Casemiro to power a header into the far corner of the net. Bono had no chance. The defensive-minded midfielder has now scored in his last two league matches.
