Sone Aluko starts Rangers trial

Winger Sone Aluko has started a one-week trial with Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers.

The 22-year-old has been without a club since his contract expired with Aberdeen during the summer.

"[Aluko will] work with Ally McCoist's squad over the next few days as the manager assesses whether or not to offer him a contract," read a statement on the club's official website.

"Someone who has often showed up well in matches against the Light Blues, Aluko will be hopeful of impressing."

The Nigerian international made 129 appearances during a four-year spell with Aberdeen.
