Ally McCoist hits out at Rangers' defending

Rangers boss Ally McCoist reflects on the "comedy of errors" that saw his troops ship three first-half goals to Hibernian.

Ally McCoist has hit out at his Rangers team for lacklustre defending in last night's 3-1 defeat to Hibernian at Ibrox.

The Glasgow club shipped three first-half goals through a Jason Cummings brace and David Gray, while Nicky Law reduced the arrears on 55 minutes, but the hosts failed to get the "minor miracle" needed to salvage something.

"The goals we lost were as poor as I can recall us conceding," McCoist told Sky Sports News.

"I think we started the game very brightly but then the goalkeeper kicks the ball up the park and we lose a goal - that's just not on.

"The second goal was poor and the third goal was a comedy of errors. To come in 3-0 at half-time you need a minor miracle to get back in it and it was too much to do."

McCoist's side travel to Livingston on Saturday afternoon.
