Rangers striker Jon Daly has admitted that the players are finding it hard not to think about their impending Scottish League Cup clash with Celtic.
The Old Firm rivals will meet in the semi-final of the League Cup on January 31, but have games with Hearts and Kilmarnock to contend with before then.
While Daly wants his teammates to concentrate on the task at hand, he believes the Celtic game will give the squad a boost and heighten the competition for places.
"There is so much football to be played before the Celtic game so that's another fixture that the boys have to put out of their minds," he told the club's official website.
"It's hard not to think about it because it's always going to be at the back of your mind but we have to forget it right now.
"It puts another bit of spice into the competition for places with that game being just under three months away, but there's plenty of football to be played before then."
The last meeting between the sides was back in April 2012 when Celtic strolled to a 3-0 victory.
