Harry Redknapp suggests QPR unlikely to make permanent signings

QPR boss Harry Redknapp says that the club are unlikely to make any permanent signings in this transfer window.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp suggests that any signings brought into the club this month will only be loans.

The Premier League outfit have been linked to numerous names and recently completed the signing of Mauro Zarate on loan from West Ham United, but permanent deals are not expected to be offered.

"We bought players in the summer so we are looking for loans," Redknapp told reporters. "When you are signing loans in January you are taking gambles.

"If you sign Wilfried Bony permanently, you are not taking a gamble, he is a top striker, but he will cost you. When you take on a loan there are always question marks."

QPR are currently two points above the relegation zone in the league table.
