Samba Diakite agrees Queens Park Rangers move

Nancy president Jacques Rousselot has confirmed that Samba Diakite has reached an agreement with Queens Park Rangers over a loan move to Loftus Road.

The 23-year-old has been granted permission from Mali coach Alain Giresse to travel to England to undergo a medical ahead of completing a move to the London-based club.

"Alain Giresse, coach of Mali, agreed that Samba could go to England to complete his loan," Rousselot told L'Equipe.

"It will be a loan with an option to buy if QPR are still in the Premier League at the end of the season."

The 23-year-old is primarily a centre-midfielder, although he can operate in defence.
