Joey Barton is talking to QPR about a possible move to Loftus Road.

Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton is in talks with Queens Park Rangers after he was given permission to speak to the London club.

The English midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs after he was placed on the transfer list earlier this month for criticising the club's transfer policy.

Since Tony Fernandes took control of the club manager Neil Warnock has been trying to bolster his squad with several signings.

The QPR boss last night said that he thinks people "don't care" about the Carling Cup after their 2-0 defeat at the hands of League Two side Rochdale.
