Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton will face no further action after he was arrested last month over an alleged fight in Liverpool.
Barton was released on bail pending further inquiries after he was detained along with three other men following an incident outside of Garlands nightclub on Monday, June 4.
Merseyside Police have now decided against any further punishment on the advice of the Crown Prosecuction Service.
The other three men allegedly involved have also been cleared of any wrongdoing.
