Carlo Ancelotti announced as PSG new manager

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti is the French side's new manager following the departure of Antoine Kombouare.

The former Chelsea boss, who has been widely tipped to take over the billionaire club in recent weeks, was confirmed as the new head coach in a press conference at the Parc des Princes today.

Kombouare left his post earlier today following reports that Ancelotti had been pictured with PSG sporting director Leonardo in Paris on Wednesday.

The Italian boss has elected ex-Chelsea player Claude Makelele as his assistant coach.
