Saturday's Ligue 1 predictions including PSG vs. Saint-Etienne

Strasbourg vs. Nice (Saturday, 4.00pm)

Two Ligue 1 teams battling for Champions League qualification will lock horns on Saturday afternoon when fourth-placed Strasbourg play host to third-placed Nice.

The hosts have won their last two meetings against Nice; however, the visitors won 2-0 at the Stade de la Meinau last season.

We say: Strasbourg 2-1 Nice

An entertaining contest will likely be on the cards between two attack-minded teams, who will be hoping to steal a march on their rivals in the hunt for Champions League football next season.

Strasbourg head into Saturday's fixture in slightly better form than Nice and so they may just do enough to secure a slender victory on home soil.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

PSG vs. St Etienne (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Paris Saint-Germain will look to immediately bounce back from their shock defeat to Nantes when they host Saint-Etienne in Saturday's Ligue 1 encounter.

While Mauricio Pochettino's side went down 3-1 to Les Canaris last week, their visitors managed to hold high-flying Strasbourg to a 2-2 draw.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Saint-Etienne

PSG's shock defeat at the home of Nantes is surely nothing more than a blip, and at the fortress that is the Parc des Princes, an improving Saint-Etienne need nothing short of a miracle.

Discontent towards Pochettino will certainly grow without all three points here, and Verratti's suspension is less than ideal, but the league leaders should stroll to victory nonetheless.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
