How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Borussia Dortmund

Sports Mole looks at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to pick up a positive result when they travel to Borussia Dortmund for the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie on Tuesday night.

The French champions were impressive in the group stages of this season's competition, winning five of their six fixtures to finish five points clear of Real Madrid at the top of Group A.

PSG reached the semi-finals of the European Cup in 1995 but have lost in the round of 16 in each of the last three seasons during a disappointing run at this level.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the capital giants could line up against BVB.

POSS PSG XI vs. DOR

Out: Colin Dagba (knee), Abdou Diallo (thigh)
Doubtful: Neymar (ribs), Presnel Kimpembe (thigh)

Colin Dagba and Abdou Diallo will both be unavailable for PSG, although Neymar should overcome a rib injury to start for the French champions in Germany. The Brazilian has not played since the start of the month but is in line to return to the starting XI for Tuesday night's affair.

Kylian Mbappe, Mauro Icardi and Angel Di Maria should also all start, meaning that the visitors are likely to line up in an attacking 4-4-2 formation against the Bundesliga side.

A thigh problem is expected to rule Presnel Kimpembe out of the contest, though, with Marquinhos in line to feature alongside fellow Brazilian Thiago Silva at the heart of the defence.

Marco Verratti should be joined in the middle of the park by Idrissa Gueye, while Thomas Meunier is expected to be given the nod at right-back for the Ligue 1 champions.

Pablo Sarabia has scored eight times in 10 appearances for PSG since the turn of the year, but it would be a surprise to see the Spaniard start in Germany.
