Kaid Mohamed hoping for extended run

Mohamed hoping for extended run

Port Vale striker Kaid Mohamed has revealed that he is hopeful of securing an extended run in the team this season.

The 29-year-old, who joined the club from Cheltenham Town this summer, made his full debut in Saturday's 2-1 win over Bradford City.

He told the club's official website: "Nobody likes being on the bench, it's more or less just about waiting for your chance and then obviously just taking it.

"I thought I did well during the 90 minutes, I think I need a few games to get up to match fitness. I am feeling fit but playing games makes you feel sharper, I am just glad to be in the team, winning and getting three points.

"I think I can give a lot more, it was my first game, I was a little bit nervy but you want to get into it and do the right things. I'm excited to be playing and I can't wait to be playing on Saturday again."

Next up for Port Vale is a clash with Oldham Athletic this weekend.
