Fornalik named Poland boss

Euro 2012 co-hosts Poland have named Ruch Chorzow boss Waldemar Fornalik as their new manager.

Fornalik replaces Franciszek Smuda, who left his post with the nation following their elimination from Euro 2012 in the group stages.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by Gregorz Lato, the president of the Polish Football Association.

Fornalik led Ruch Chorzow to a second-place finish in last year's Polish league.
