Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has insisted that Darren Ferguson's managerial job is safe, despite a disappointing start to the season.
Ferguson, who is the son of Manchester United boss Sir Alex, has witnessed his side lose all five of their Championship fixtures so far this season.
"If Darren were to leave, I'd do the same, I'd have failed," MacAnthony told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. "Getting rid of the manager isn't the way to go, he's an amazing manager and he needs all our support."
Ferguson returned to Peterborough for a second stint of management last year.
