Tom Newey leaves Oxford United by mutual consent

Newey makes Oxford exit

Oxford United defender Tom Newey has left the club following the termination of his contract by mutual consent.

The 32-year-old joined the League Two side from Scunthorpe United in 2013.

However, a lack of first-team action at the Kassam Stadium saw him loaned out to Northampton Town earlier this season.

Newey made a total of 62 appearances for Oxford.
