Alfred Finnbogason joins Olympiacos on loan

Real Sociedad striker Alfred Finnbogason has agreed a deal to join Greek side Olympiacos on loan, subject to passing a medical.

The 26-year-old will spend the 2015-16 season on loan at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, with Olympiacos having the option to sign him permanently next summer.

Finnabogason moved to David Moyes's side last summer, but struggled in Spain, scoring just four goals in 33 appearances.

An Iceland international with 25 caps to his name, Finnabogason's previous clubs include Heerenveen, Lokeren and Helsingborg.
