Clubs monitor Matt Smith?

Oldham Athletic striker Matt Smith, who impressed in the FA Cup this season, has reportedly attracted the interest of a number of higher division clubs.

The 24-year-old drew attention with his performances against Everton and Liverpool in the early stages of the cup, with several clubs understood to have registered their interest.

According to Sky Sports News, Stoke City and Celtic lead the chase for the powerful striker, but no official bid has been made for the former international management graduate.

Smith, who was not a regular starter in the early stages of the campaign, has scored eight goals from 14 starts this season.
