Norwich City have announced that goalkeeper Jake Kean has joined Colchester United on a 28-day loan deal.
Kean signed for the Canaries just last summer after being released by Blackburn Rovers, but he has been unable to break into the first team having yet to make an appearance.
The shot-stopper has been in action five times for Norwich's Under-21s, the most recent display being in a goalless draw with Liverpool just before Christmas.
Kean will join the League One team while they are just second from bottom in the table, five points away from safety after 25 games.
Colchester have not won a league fixture since October.
