Norwich City and Barnsley have agreed a fee over midfielder Jacob Butterfield's move to Carrow Road.
The 22-year-old former Tykes captain signed a four-year deal with the Canaries on July 3 after his contract with Barnsley had expired.
Barnsley were entitled to a fee as part of the transfer because the player was under the age of 24 and had been offered a new contract at Oakwell.
The Yorkshire club had rejected Norwich's original offer and if no agreement had have been made then a tribunal would have nominated the fee.
A statement on Barnsley's official website read: "The club are now happy to have accepted a vastly improved offer."
Butterfield made exactly 100 league appearances for Barnsley.
