Whitehawk FC sack duo

Conference South side Whitehawk FC have announced that Michael Boateng and Hakeem Adelakun have been sacked after they were arrested and charged in relation to match-fixing allegations.

The pair were questioned by officers from the National Crime Agency and later charged with conspiracy to defraud.

According to Sky Sports News, as a result, the football club have dismissed the pair, who will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on December 11.

The duo are the latest people to be charged in relation to an alleged illegal international betting syndicate following the arrests of Chann Sankaran and Krishna Sanjey Ganeshan.
