Howard Webb to select Premier League referees

Webb to pick Premier League referees

Howard Webb has been appointed the select group performance director for refereeing body Professional Game Match Officials Limited.

The 43-year-old will pick officials for Premier League games after being promoted from technical director.

Webb retired from refereeing in August 2014 following a 25-year career.

The former policeman officiated both the World Cup final and the Champions League final in 2010.
