UEFA have confirmed that an Under-19s version of the Champions League will start from the 2013-14 season.
The 32 senior clubs that qualify for the European tournament will also send teams out for the youth variation.
The knockout section of the competition will take place over a single leg while neutral stadiums will host the semi-finals and final.
The Champions League was rebranded in 1992 after being formerly known as the European Champion Clubs' Cup.
