The Football League fixtures are hit by the snow as a number of this weekend's League One and League Two matches are called off.

The adverse weather conditions that have hit the UK have thrown the Football League schedule into disarray.

Matches in League One have been affected as Portsmouth's trip to Scunthorpe United and Bury's League One match against Stevenage have been postponed due to snow.

The fourth tier of English football has also been damaged by the cold snap after Accrington Stanley's clash against Wimbledon was called off, while the pitch at Southend was deemed unplayable for their match against Plymouth.

Inspection on grounds up and down the country are expected to go ahead throughout the day.

This weekend's postponed matches:

League One
Bury vs. Stevenage
Crawley Town vs. Carlisle
Scunthorpe United vs. Portsmouth
Crewe Alexander vs. MK Dons
Hartlepool vs. Colchester
Yeovil vs. Preston

League Two
Accrington Stanley vs. AFC Wimbledon
Southend vs. Plymouth
Rochdale vs. Gillingham
Port Vale vs. Bradford
Torquay vs. Chesterfield
