The Premier League have issued a statement saying that none of its clubs has outstanding PAYE tax following a report yesterday.
The issue of unpaid tax by football clubs came up in Parliament yesterday, with John Mann, the Labour MP for Bassetlaw, claiming that 10 clubs in the football league owe tax.
The Premier League were quick to respond, insisting that none of its 20 clubs are in arrears.
The statement read: "Premier League rules require all of our clubs to submit HMRC reports on a quarterly basis confirming they are up to date with PAYE and National Insurance contributions.
"We can confirm that none of our clubs have any arrears."
Mann said that any club guilty of owing tax should drop down two divisions.
