Pitso Mosimane sacked by South Africa

The South African Football Association have sacked coach Pitso Mosimane with immediate effect.

The governing body took the decision following the Bafana Bafana's 1-1 draw with Ethiopia on Sunday evening.

Mosimane took charge of his nation for a third time following the conclusion of the World Cup in 2010.

He has been replaced on an interim basis by Steve Komphela, who is a previous captain of South Africa.
