Ljungberg joins Indian Super League

Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has revealed that he is planning to come out of retirement to play in the Indian Super League.

The 37-year-old ended his playing career in 2012 after a short spell at Japanese club Shimizu S-Pulse, but he will be joining one of the eight clubs in the newly-formed ISL.

"I am joining Indian Super League in September for three months to help promote football in India," he wrote on his official Twitter account.

"Even though I am retired, the opportunity to play in India is really exciting. I am keen to share my knowledge and experience of the Premier League."

Ljungberg won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups during his time at Arsenal.
