Ewald Lienen is named as the new AEK Athens coach until the end of the season.

AEK Athens have confirmed the appointment of Ewald Lienen as their new coach.

The Greek club recently sacked Vangelis Vlachos after slumping to four defeats in their first six matches of the new season.

The German will remain in charge of the team until the end of the campaign, with the option to extend his deal by a further year.

The 58-year-old has previous experience of managing in Greece with Panionios and Olympiakos.
