Jagodina win first Serbian cup

Jagodina have won the Serbian cup for the first time in their history with a 1-0 victory over domestic champions Vojvodina Novi Sad in front of 12,000 fans.

Midfielder Milan Djuric scored the only goal of the game in the first half from the penalty spot after Djordje Jokic handled in the box.

Vojvodina dominated the closing stages, with Jagodina goalkeeper Igor Bondzulic pulling off saves to deny Miroslav Vulicevic and Nemanja Radoja, but the underdogs held out for the win.

The result sees Jagodina book their places in next season's Europa League qualifiers.
