Guus Hiddink rules out Ajax role

Turkey manager Guus Hiddink has insisted that he has no intentions of taking the vacant director of football role at Ajax.

The Dutch champions have long been linked with the 65-year-old, but he has insisted that he will honour his contract with the Turkish Football Association.

"I will not move to Ajax," Hiddink told NOS. "This is something of the past and it's not going to happen anymore.

"There's always a lot of unrest at the club, which is typical for Ajax and Amsterdam."

Hiddink's side lost 3-0 to Croatia on Friday evening.
