Francis released from hospital

Former England midfielder Trevor Francis has been released from Birmingham's Heartlands Hospital following a suspected heart attack.

The former Birmingham City manager is understood to have suffered a heart attack on Friday, and was subsequently taken to hospital.

It is understood that Francis will be monitored at home by his family over the coming week.

Francis, 57, became the first £1m player when he joined Nottingham Forest from Birmingham City in 1979.
