The Football Association announce that they have agreed a new action plan to rid discrimination from the game.

The Football Association have announced that they have agreed a new initiative to help stamp out discrimination from the game.

The English governing body have created an action plan, under which clubs will be punished if they fail to deal with cases of racism involving their players, coaches or supporters.

Chairman David Bernstein told the FA's official website: "This is a commitment on behalf of English football to ensure the game is inclusive and free of discrimination. Only by the sum of all our parts working together, will we affect further and greater change.

"This continues to be a top priority for me, as chairman of the Football Association and I believe this action plan states our collective commitment and lays out clearly the individual actions to move forward this vital agenda."

The plan also states that foreign players and coaches will undergo compulsory induction lessons to make sure that they are fully aware of the "cultural environment" within the game.
