El Salvador duo Henry Romero and Darwin Ceren have been issued with bans after they bit United States players during their Gold Cup quarter-final clash in Philadelphia.
Romero bit Jozy Altidore on the back of a shoulder and twisted a nipple during jostling in the box ahead of a corner kick in the second half of the game, which finished 2-0 to the US.
National captain Ceren, meanwhile, was seen on tape attempting to bite defender Omar Gonzalez with time winding down in the second half.
As a result, CONCACAF banned Romero for six games, while Ceren has incurred a three-match suspension, the organisation adding that the bans for "anti-sporting behaviour" will only affect "official matches".
The USMNT went on to beat Costa Rica 2-0 in Sunday's semi-final in Houston, and will face either Mexico or Jamaica in Thursday's final.
