Drogba committed to Shanghai Shenhua

Didier Drogba has reaffirmed his commitment to Shanghai Shenhua.

It was last week reported that the Ivorian was to be released from his contract in a power dispute between the club's directors.

Despite the rumours later being quashed, the 34-year-old has now moved to clarify the situation.

"For the 2013 African Cup of Nations, I will do everything to remain competitive by being in China," Drogba is quoted as saying by L'Equipe.

Drogba moved to China on a free transfer after six years with Chelsea.
