Newcastle United have reportedly closed in on the loan signing of Brazilian full-back Guilherme Siqueira from Atletico Madrid.
According to Sky Sports News, the 29-year-old is on the verge of joining the Magpies for the rest of the season.
Siqueira has played just once in La Liga this season under Diego Simeone since the return of Filipe Luis from Chelsea and seems surplus to requirements in the Spanish capital.
Should Siqueira finalise the move, he would be Newcastle's fourth January arrival and the club's first loan signing of the season.
