Newcastle 'agree deal for Dubravka'

Newcastle United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Martin Dubravka on loan from Sparta Prague until the end of the season.

The Magpies were thought to have failed in a bid to sign the Slovakia international on a temporary basis earlier this month, but they have since returned with a new offer and are expected to complete the signing before tonight's 11pm deadline.

Sky Sports News reports that Dubravka will arrive in Newcastle this afternoon to undergo a medical with the club and finalise his move.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez already has Karl Darlow and Rob Elliott at his disposal in the goalkeeping ranks, although he has switched between the duo throughout the campaign so far.

The 29-year-old's arrival would also allow the club to send Freddie Woodman out on loan to Scottish outfit Aberdeen.

Dubravka only joined Sparta during the summer transfer window, making 13 appearances across all competitions for the club.
