Usually plays further forward, but did a good job filling it a right-back as the Bees shocked Derby. It was his low cross that set up Stuart Dallas for the injury-time winner.
Bruno Ecuele Manga (Cardiff City)
The Gabonese defender has been mighty for Cardiff this season and scored his first goal for the club with a well-directed header in the 3-1 victory over Leeds United.
Joel Lynch (Huddersfield Town)
Huddersfield's fine form continued with a comfortable 3-0 win over floundering Nottingham Forest. Lynch scored the first with a towering header and also managed to keep a clean sheet.
Jonathan Grounds (Birmingham City)
After last week's 8-0 drubbing at home to Bournemouth, Birmingham managed to shut out Wolverhampton Wanderers and Grounds was also a threat going forward.
Royston Drenthe (Sheffield Wednesday)
Scored one of the best goals of the weekend with a storming solo effort. It wouldn't be enough for all three points, though, as Charlton Athletic fought back for a point.
Ted Bishop (Ipswich Town)
Set up both of Ipswich's goals in the victory over Blackpool. His twinkle-toed run and cutback for the second was particularly impressive.
Roger Espinoza (Wigan Athletic)
Scored one and set up another in the barnstorming 3-3 draw with Fulham.
Ben Marshall (Blackburn Rovers)
Becoming one of Blackburn's most important players. Had a hand in all three goals in the 3-1 win over Reading, curling home the second with an inch-perfect free kick.
Rudy Gestede (Blackburn Rovers)
Gestede is a dominant force in the air and must love playing with Marshall. He scored the other two against the Royals with a bullet header and controlled left-foot finish.
Grant Holt (Huddersfield Town)
Enjoying himself on loan with the Terriers, scoring one and setting up another in the convincing victory over Forest.
Numpty of the Week
Gordon Greer: Brighton are now 11 games without a win in the league and weren't helped by Greer's odd decision to head a low cross into his own net. You could see what he was trying to do - head it out for a corner - with Bournemouth players arriving behind, but he got it so wrong.
Goal of the Week
Yanic Wildschut (Middlesbrough) vs. Rotherham United: Our favourite strike this week came from Wildschut, who produced a lovely bit of skill on the edge of the box to evade a Rotherham challenge before rifling home on his first Boro start.
