Report: Victor Valdes on verge of Middlesbrough move

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is on the verge of a move to Middlesbrough, according to reports.

The 34-year-old signed for Manchester United in January 2015 but made just two appearances for the Red Devils before being released last month.

According to BBC Sport, Valdes is due at the Riverside Stadium on Thursday to have a medical and discuss personal terms with the newly-promoted Premier League outfit.

The veteran stopper spent time on loan with Standard Liege last season, helping them win the Belgian Cup.
