Vancouver Whitecaps agree Barry Robson deal

Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps have agreed a deal to sign Middlesbrough midfielder Barry Robson.

The 33-year-old, who has struck eight goals for the Championship side this season, has signed a pre-contract agreement to join the MLS side at the end of the current campaign.

Vancouver, however, have decided against a move for Cardiff striker Robert Earnshaw, whom they also showed an interest in signing.

The MLS season begins in March.
