Anel Hadzic nears Middlesbrough move

SV Reid's Anel Hadzic has claimed that he will join Championship club Middlesbrough this month.

The 22-year-old Bosnian-born midfielder has admitted that he would have been "stupid" to turn down a move to the North East.

"I'm going abroad, my next club is Middlesbrough," he told Sport10.

"I was quite surprised when I heard this club was interested in me. I'd be stupid if I would say no to such an opportunity.

"Now I have to pass my medical tests and then I'll be able to sign."

Hadzic will reportedly undergo a medical on Teeside tomorrow.
