Manchester United have reportedly reignited their interest in Villarreal centre-back Pau Torres ahead of this summer's transfer window.
The Red Devils were linked with the Spain international last year, while Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid are also believed to have attempted to sign him ahead of the current season.
Torres has again been in strong form for the Yellow Submarine during the 2021-22 campaign, making 36 appearances in all competitions, contributing five goals in the process.
Man United are expected to move for another central defender this summer despite signing Raphael Varane last year, and according to 90min, Torres is back on the club's radar.
However, the report claims that a decision on a possible move for the 25-year-old will not be made until the 20-time English champions have appointed a new head coach.
Ajax's Erik ten Hag remains the favourite to take charge of the club in the coming months, with the Dutchman moving ahead of Paris Saint-Germain's Mauricio Pochettino in the running for the position.
The Red Devils are also believed to be keen to bring a new centre-forward to Old Trafford this summer, with Tottenham's Harry Kane emerging as a leading target.
